Cadre recognizes that the majority of new technologies are developed in academia. We are committed to working with computational and life science university faculty to advance their research programs and facilitate the commercialization of their discoveries.
Move Your Technology to Industry
If you are considering licensing your research to an established company or to a newly formed spin-off, Cadre can help bridge the technology gap. Our applied R&D arm specializes in carrying technology from the academic proof-of-concept stage through commercial implementation (potentially funded via an SBIR/STTR). In most cases, this involves first offering your technology on a fee-for-service basis and, if there's sufficient interest, developing the product into a true polished solution.
In the case where a customer has not yet been identified, we will work with the inventor and their technology licensing office to find an industry partner. In 2013 we plan to launch an exciting new venue for the commercialization of methods in computational science. The resource will be of direct interest to university faculty and their technology transfer offices - check back.

There are an increasing number of funding opportunities for collaborative research between academia and industry. We can help you identify these opportunities and serve as your industry partner. Such partnerships are win-win, as funding is provided for both basic research and applied R&D.
